At Skaneateles Fields Resort & Spa, sustainability is an important part of our guest experience. From room amenities to the dishes we serve at Fields, each effort reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment. 

Reusable Glass Water Bottles
Each room is equipped with reusable glass water bottles, with refill stations conveniently located in guestroom hallways. This simple shift eliminates nearly 60,000 plastic bottles each year while helping protect Skaneateles Lake, which is recognized as the second cleanest lake in the United States.

Tap Root Fields Composting
In partnership with Tap Root Fields, we’ve created a full-circle recycling program. Food waste from Fields Restaurant is returned to the farm, where it’s composted to create optimal soil for its nutrient rich vegetables supplied to Fields and the local community.

Clean the World Partnership
We are proud to partner with Clean the World, a global organization dedicated to reducing waste and improving hygiene. Gently used soap and bottled amenities from guest rooms are collected, sanitized, and recycled into new hygiene products. These are then distributed to communities in need around the world, helping reduce landfill waste while promoting better health and sanitation.
